Clinical Ethics Service (Ethics Integration Leadership Team)

The Clinical Ethics Service contributes to respectful, fair, compassionate patient care. The ethics team offers consultative support to patients, families, staff, volunteers and students in order to help with, and promote, ethical decision-making in the best interests of patients, families and the healthcare team. This may relate to care, treatment and/or quality of life.

Our consultative services are offered in a supportive and advisory manner recognizing that treatment decisions are ultimately the responsibility of the treatment team in collaboration with the patient/family. Brochures outlining our services are available on all patient care units.
