The Diagnostic Imaging Department is made up of a
multi-disciplinary team that includes radiologists, technologists, sonographers/echocardiographers,
nurses, clerical staff, porters and transcriptionists who perform more than
60,000 exams each year. Each member plays a distinct role in assisting patients
through their procedures and providing diagnostic images and reports for
physicians so patients receive appropriate treatment.
The exams include bone mineral densitometry, computed
tomography (CT Scan), echocardiography, fluoroscopy, mammography (Ontario Breast
Screening Program), nuclear medicine, radiography, and ultrasonography.
