Paediatrics
The goal of the Paediatric Unit is to promote the highest state of health in each child and to provide the best quality of care.
Our functions consist of preventing disease or injury and assisting children to achieve and maintain an optimum level of health and development.
Families are encouraged to participate in the planning of care.
We hope to make the hospital stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
THE FOLLOWING IS FOR YOUR INFORMATION
- Rooming-in is available.
- Open visiting hours for parents and siblings.
- Bring toothpaste, toothbrush, comb or brush, slippers.
- Toys can be brought in from home - put your name on each item.
- Television and VCR is available in playroom. VCR is operated by staff.
- Telephone is available in most rooms.
- Frequent handwashing is necessary to prevent the spread of infection.
