Professional Practice, Policy and Education

Professional Practice Services provide leadership and expertise to establish collaborative professional practice environments and quality care provision for various health disciplines practising at Pembroke Regional Hospital. Working with Directors, Managers and Medical Chiefs, Professional Practice Services lead the development and implementation of best practice to ensure that Pembroke Regional Hospital adheres to current standards and guidelines in the provision of quality, patient-centred care. In collaboration with Directors and Managers, we deliver or coordinate ongoing professional educational opportunities for healthcare staff.

We also work in close collaboration with the Vice-President of Patient Services in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and processes which support research ethics and clinical ethics initiatives.
