Professional Practice, Policy and Education

The Department of Professional Practice, Policy and Education acts as a consultant to our healthcare professionals and works collaboratively with Clinical Directors, Managers and Medical Chiefs to establish collaborative practice environments, to ensure compliance with current professional standards and guidelines, and to support professional education opportunities for healthcare staff.

The Department liases with educational institutions, professional associations and regulatory bodies to support excellence in professional practice. The Department also works in close collaboration with the Vice-President of Patient Services in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and processes which support research ethics and clinical ethics initiatives.
