Local musicians Jamie Trader and Shell Cliche of In 2 Harmony, in partnership with Fresco’s Tap & Grill, successfully hosted the second annual Support–Celebrate–Remember fundraiser in support of cancer care at Pembroke Regional Hospital (PRH), raising an impressive $6,600.

 

Held on February 7th at Fresco’s Tap & Grill, the evening brought the community together for live music by In 2 Harmony, great food and drinks, and a shared commitment to supporting local cancer care. Fresco’s generously donated a portion of the evening’s sales to the fundraiser, contributing to the event’s overall success.

 

“We wanted to have a night to remember - a night when we come together to remember our loved ones and our friends who have lost their battle against cancer,” said event organizer Jamie Trader. “A night where we celebrate with those and for those who fought their battle and won. And most importantly as a community, a night with our friends and family to support those who are fighting the fight right now against cancer so they know we are here to support them in the battle, providing strength, providing courage and knowledge that they can beat cancer. It is all this SUPPORT-CELEBRATE-REMEMBER that drives us to put this event on.”

 

Mr. Trader added that the result proved just how powerful “working together” can be and how amazing this community is, and how everyone is driven to provide a facility right here in Pembroke so that WINNING the battle is a true reality. “That is why we are so thankful to everyone who attended and contributed to this event.”

 

A raffle was also held during the event, featuring prizes generously donated by HELA Beauty, Liam Poirier – Royal LePage, Ottawa Valley Roast House, Whitetail Golf Course and Murphy Ford.

 

“We are incredibly thankful to Jamie, Shell, Fresco’s Tap & Grill, and everyone who participated in making this event such a success,” said Roger Martin, Executive Director of the PRH Foundation.

 

“Community-led initiatives like Support–Celebrate–Remember make a meaningful difference in enhancing cancer care services close to home. The funds raised will directly to help purchase a new Colposcopy for targeted biopsies and cancer diagnosis.”

 

Event organizer Jamie Trader, shared that a date – February 6th, 2027, has already been reserved for next year, marking the 3rd year for this event. Mark your calendars!
