Week 5 Catch the Ace Winner Takes Home $7,826

19/7/2026

The excitement surrounding the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation's Catch the Ace lottery continues to grow, with Matthew Edwards announced as the Week #5 winner, taking home $7,826.

Community support remained exceptionally strong throughout the week, driving ticket sales well beyond expectations. At just five weeks into the lottery, weekly prize amounts are already approaching two-and-a-half times what they were at the same point in previous Catch the Ace rounds, demonstrating the incredible momentum behind the current lottery. The growing participation has resulted in larger weekly prizes, a rapidly increasing jackpot, and unprecedented excitement across the region.

"The response from the community has been nothing short of incredible," said Roger Martin, Executive Director of the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation. "Not only are we seeing strong weekly participation, but prize amounts are significantly higher than they have been at this stage in previous Catch the Ace lotteries. It's a testament to the enthusiasm of our supporters and the community's commitment to local healthcare."

The ongoing success of Catch the Ace is helping support the Foundation's Together, We Care Campaign, which funds priority equipment and technology needs at Pembroke Regional Hospital. Thanks to the incredible response from the community, the campaign recently reached its goal of funding the final three Acute Mental Health Security Beds needed at the hospital. Catch the Ace is now helping advance another important need at PRH - a new lighting system for the Obstetrics department that will support patients, families, and care teams during some of life's most important moments.

With the jackpot continuing to grow and excitement showing no signs of slowing down, residents across the region are eagerly following each week's draw and hoping to be the next lucky winner.
