Catch the Ace Raises More Than $390,000 for local healthcare as Doug Hawkins Wins $11,272

13/10/2026

The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation's Catch the Ace lottery continues to deliver exciting wins and meaningful impact, with Doug Hawkins announced as the Week #17 winner, taking home $11,272.

Hawkins selected Card #21, revealing the Queen of Hearts, meaning the Ace of Spades remains hidden and the excitement continues to build for tomorrow’s draw.

While the growing jackpot and weekly prizes continue to attract attention, the true success story is the impact Catch the Ace is having on local healthcare.

Thanks to the incredible support of participants, the current round of Catch the Ace has now raised $390,393 in support of the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation's Together, We Care Campaign.

"Week after week, we're seeing people come together to support healthcare in our region, and the results have been remarkable," said Roger Martin, Executive Director of the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation. "Not only are participants having fun and winning some incredible prizes, they're helping fund equipment that will make a real difference for patients and staff. Raising more than $390,000 through just 17 weeks of Catch the Ace is an achievement our entire community can celebrate."

Funds raised through the lottery are helping advance the Foundation's current campaign priorities. The campaign is now focused on funding a Staff Duress System, a critical safety initiative valued at $150,000. To date, $120,393 has already been raised toward that goal.

The Foundation extends its congratulations to Doug on his win and sincere thanks to everyone who continues to support Catch the Ace. With the Ace of Spades still in play and the jackpot continuing to grow, anticipation is building for this week’s draw.
